Kim Kardashian has made her first public comments about the birth of her and rapper Kanye West's baby girl.
"These past couple of weeks have been filled with the most exciting experiences of my life," Kardashian, 32, blogged Wednesday, just over a month after the June 15 birth of daughter North. "I'm enjoying this time to fully embrace motherhood and spend time at home with my family."
The reality star has kept herself and the baby out of the public eye since the infant's arrival about five weeks before her expected due date.
"I've been reading all of your messages and want to thank you all for your sweet thoughts and best wishes," Kardashian added in an aside to her fans. "It truly means everything to me. I am so blessed to have the support of my family and fans in this beautiful moment."
Fellow reality star LaLa Anthony, wife of New York Knick Carmelo Anthony, told "Access Hollywood" that she has visited her friend Kardashian and baby North, nicknamed Nori. "The name fits and as soon as you see the baby, you can't even see her with any other name," she said. "I love the name and the baby."
Anthony, 34, said she doubted the parents were ready to make the baby public very soon. "She's still just so little. She's not ready to be out in the world with germs and around people. As a mom, your protective instinct comes in before anything else."
