The Knicks will use their third different starting lineup in three preseason games, but the biggest thing for them is Amar’e Stoudemire is playing tonight.

Stoudemire missed the first two games with a bruised left knee. Coach Mike Woodson said he would play against the Raptors and then might be given off tomorrow in Albany when the Knicks face Boston.

“If I’m going to play him some big minutes tonight it’s not necessary to burn him tomorrow,” Woodson said. “And then we have Monday and Wednesday’s game to get ready for our opener.”

The other four starters tonight are Raymond Felton, James White, Tyson Chandler and Carmelo Anthony.

Kurt Thomas returns to his role coming off the bench.

Ronnie Brewer made the trip but it’s unlikely he will play in the three games. He is returning from arthroscopic knee surgery and although he’s participated in the last two practices he hasn’t done any contact or scrimmaging.

“He’ll dress and go through warmups and things of that nature, but until he has some contact, which he hasn’t had yet, we’re not going to play him,” Woodson said. “When we get back in practice he’ll have a chance to go through some contact and we’ll see how he feels.”

The same goes for Marcus Camby, who hasn’t practiced since Oct. 5 with a strained calf.

“He’s on the trip,” Woodson said. “Brought him out because he hasn’t been around his teammates. Needed a change of air for him and it was good that he wanted to come out and be around our team. Still gets his treatment and does everything that he would be doing back in New York.

“He won’t play until he actually gets back on the floor, starts running and banging around as well.”
