Jeremy Lin has retained the sports practices at Williams & Connolly LLP, switching to the Washington group that represents NBA players including Tim Duncan, Ray Allen and Shane Battier.

Lin, who is a restricted free agent this offseason, said in a statement, "I believe Jim [Tanner] and the team at Williams & Connolly are the best fit for me in all aspects of my career."

Tanner will represent Lin in contractual agreements, endorsements and other opportunities.

The Harvard grad, who won "The Epic Award" at Wednesday night's NBA TV Social Media Awards, averaged 14.6 points and 6.2 assists last season for the Knicks. He was recently named to the USA Basketball Men's Select Team, meaning he will participate in scrimmages against the Olympic-bound USA National Team.

"We are truly thrilled to be working with Jeremy during this exciting time in his career," Tanner said. "He is an outstanding player with outstanding character and we believe that this past season only showed us a glimpse of what he is capable of, on and off the court. We are excited to help Jeremy navigate this tremendous opportunity"
