Fruity drinks for the summer

Bring on the fruity drinks, it's summer time. Here are some places to grab a refreshing cocktail during lunch or after work.

Kahiki Lounge at Marion's Continental
354 Bowery
(212) 475-7621

Keep your eye out for the annual summer re-vamp of East Village mainstay Marion's. The staff calls it "a celebration of all things Polynesian." Expect the normally retro hodgepodge interior to be replaced with lanterns, flowers, thatched huts and all other things that evoke the Polynesian frenzy of the 1950s. Created in honor of a joint by the same name in Columbus, Ohio, that was shut down to make room for everyone's worst fear: a Wal-Mart.

Kahiki's Raspberry Sherbetini
3 oz. raspberry vodka
2 oz. lemonade
Splash Chambord
Splash cranberry juice

1. Serve in a chilled martini glass

2. Garnish with fresh fruit and umbrella

Nikki Beach Midtown
151 E. 50 St.
(212) 753-1144
St. Tropez, Marbella, Sardinia … 50th Street? Nikki Beach Midtown is definitely an anomaly among the world-famous beach club's international locations. It's been called the "sexiest place on earth," and while it seems to have shifted slightly from the elite jet-setting crew to a more mass-market lifestyle crowd, it's still a cool place to imbibe.

Nikki Beach Mojito
2 oz. Bacardi Limon
1 tsp. sugar
Splash soda
