Today's gossip
Despite their breakup announcement nearly four months ago, Prince William and alleged ex-girlfriend Kate Middleton seem to be very much together.
The latest news of their rekindled romance comes from a People magazine report that William (on vacation from the army) and Middleton have been enjoying a romantic vacation on the exclusive Desroches island in the Seychelles.
This, on top of a summer filled with secret dates, parties and other fetes where the two were spotted together, is enough to put more fuel onto the engagement rumors that allegedly led Wills and Kate to call off their relationship in the first place. William¹s reps will not comment, per custom, so those with hearts set on a royal wedding will just have to hold on to their knickers.
SHAQ SHAKES IT FOR CHARITY
The original Big Man, Shaquille O'Neal, had on his dancin' shoes Sunday night -- all in the name of charity.
O'Neal, in town for buddy Alonzo Mourning's charity golf event, 'Zo's Million Dollar Shootout,' danced the night away with gal pal Li'l Kim.
Kim, who made quite the entrance with new boy toy Ray J, had the humorous highlight of the evening when she had to jump up on a banquette table in order to hug 7-foot-1-inch Shaq face-to-face.
PETE DOHERTY ARRESTED FOR DRUGS -- AGAIN
Police arrested Pete Doherty, best known as the ex-boyfriend of supermodel Kate Moss, on Monday in east London on suspicion of drug possession.
A police spokesman confirmed a 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs and was in custody at an east London police station. Because of police force rules, he could not name the suspect.
Earlier this month, a judge warned Doherty that he must prove his desire to quit drugs or face a jail sentence for other drug offenses.
The 28-year-old lead singer of Babyshambles has admitted possessing crack cocaine, heroin, cannabis and ketamine, as well as to two driving offenses.

EXTRAS HURT DURING CRUISE FILMING
Eleven extras were injured when they fell out of a truck during filming of a new movie starring Tom Cruise, police said Monday.
The 11 were taken to hospital as filming stopped on the movie, provisionally titled "Valkyrie," which stars Cruise as Germany's most famous anti-Hitler plotter, Col. Claus Graf Schenk von Stauffenberg.
All but one of the 11 were treated and released. The extent of the 11th man's injuries from Sunday's accident was not clear.
Another person who fell out of the truck was unhurt.
Germany's Bild daily reported that Cruise himself was not involved in the weekend filming. Police said in a statement that a bolt on a side panel of the truck apparently came loose as the vehicle turned.
The accident happened during filming of scenes around the Finance Ministry in Berlin, which was once the Nazis' aviation ministry.
Cruise's casting has attracted controversy in Germany because the actor is one of the best-known adherents of Scientology, which the German government considers a commercial enterprise that takes advantage of vulnerable people. Some critics maintain that one of its members should not be playing what some consider one of the Nazi era's few heroes.--The Associated Press
