  • Fake McCartney in 'Role Models'

    By eh

So I saw "Role Models" a few weeks ago and it was pretty funny. What I have to say is mildly spoiler-ish, so I'm doing it after the jump. There's a running joke throughout the film where various characters insist, to Paul Rudd's chagrin, that Wings-era Paul McCartney recorded a song called "Love Take Me Down (To The Streets)." And then, what do you know? "Love Take Me Down" plays over the ending credits. I have to say, I was totally taken in by what I only learned today was a fake. It really, really sounds like a song by Wings.

Vanity Fair has a copy of the MP3, which is actually written by Brooklyn songwriter Charles Gansa and performed by Joey Curatolo, who is in a Beatles cover band.
