Not Britney Spears' new single
This one, too, has been floating around the internet as another potential track on Spears' forthcoming "Singles Collection." It's not, though.
This is Myah Marie, who is one of Spears' dancer and did some backup vocals on "Circus." She explains on her blog:
i wrote this song about a year and a half ago... produced by Nick Terranova (Starkillers) and Howie Hersh (look him up, he's great!)
it was passed along and was ultimately turned down by Britneys' people for her last album, "Circus"She has a version done in her own voice up on her MySpace page. ("BOTH vocals were done by ME and ONLY ME, so theres no confusion," she writes. "i just happen to be able to change my voice =]")
I don't know if it's because I just listened to it five times in a row, or what, but I think it's kind of a catchy song, even if it didn't really fit the tone of "Circus."
