New music everywhere
• According to Pitchfork, The Shins' James Mercer is teaming up with Danger Mouse for a new project they're calling Broken Bells. It sounds crazy (sorry, can I use that word in connection with Danger Mouse without it being cliche?), but the pair previously collaborated on a track for Sparklehorse's "Dark Night of the Soul," "Insane Lullaby," which is above.

Thom Yorke and Flea?
The press release assures us that "Radiohead is not breaking up," but Yorke is doing a little extra curricular rocking. He's gotten a band together to play some of his solo stuff (both from "Eraser" and some newer songs), and the personnel include Joey Waronker, Mauro Refosco, Flea and Nigel Godrich.
