A life once in the spotlight is now spent inside a Bronx restaurant.
The restaurant serves burgers and salads but also West African specialties. According to The Times, immigrants and taxi drivers appeared to make up its customer base, and Ms. Diallo avoided the media, who gathered after a French media outlet first published a story about the eatery.
Chez Amina is a halal restuarant, and has an A rating from the NYC health department. And according to one happy customer, Ms. Diallo's past makes no difference.
“It’s the best food, that’s what I know,” said Abdul Jamal, 29, a taxi driver and immigrant from Sierra Leone. “I don’t watch the news. It’s too much headache.”
Food really does solve problems, sounds like.
