NYC pools with cocktails
The beach is great and all, but there's no annoying sand at a pool. And at public beaches, alcohol is not permitted - same thing with public pools. So where does that leave us?
Luckily, in New York City there are a handful of hotel's that open up their pools to non-guests. These are pool parties at their finest: cocktails and all.
Pool party season has just begun, so we will be updating this as parties get announced. Stay tuned, and for now, head to one of the pools listed below...
McCarren Hotel & Pool
Formerly the King & Grove Williamsburg, the McCarren Hotel features a three-season salt water pool that is the place for the well-heeled hipster set. At this hotspot, dangle your manicured toes in the pool, splash around with your friends in their Malia Mills bikinis and drink rosé in the sun. It's all so perfect. Oh, and the menu features items from Paul Leibrant's The Elm, one of the best restaurants on 2013.
Cost is $55 Friday-Sunday and $45 Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. This fee includes access to the pool, towel service, Wi-Fi and a glass of rosé. Evening (5 - 9 p.m.) swim passes and bulk passes are also available.
