Rosh Hashanah in NYC: Recipes from top chefs
Every fall, Jewish New Yorkers crowd Zabar's, Fairway and their local kosher butcher, pack extended family members into their apartments and request days off from work to celebrate the Jewish New Year, or Rosh Hashanah.
This year, the celebration starts the evening of September 13, often kicking off with a giant meal consisting of apples and honey for a sweet New Year, along with plenty of family recipes.
