The film everyone and their mom is talking about hits theaters next weekend, and we can hardly keep up with each "Shade" of news!
"50 Shades of Grey" star Dakota Johnson, 25, recently talked to USA Today about the film -- and whether her famous mom, Melanie Griffith, would be seeing the film.
"I'm starting to think that maybe they can," Johnson said. "And if they get uncomfortable, they can leave. I would love for them to see what I've been working on so quietly."
So what exactly did Griffith say about whether she'd see the film?
While celebrating pre-Grammy festivities this weekend, Griffith, 57, talked to reporters about what would happen, were she to watch her daughter's film.
"She would be very uncomfortable if I saw it, and I would be very uncomfortable if I saw it," Griffith said.
Griffith went on to say, "So we would never be able to talk about it, so why would I see it?"
Well, that was just a tad different from how Johnson had envisioned it.
However, despite Griffith not seeing the film, pretty much the entire rest of the world will be.
So for now, Johnson can breathe easy. That is, until the reviews come in.
