Marriage can be a laughing matter
If you're worried about Uncle Larry being the life of the party at your wedding, why not one-up him and leave the entertainment to professional comedians at the Laugh Factory?
With locations in New York City and Los Angeles, the comedy club offers couples the chance to tie the knot where everyone is a comedian -- literally. Everyone working the event, from the bartenders to the busboys to the servers and even the rabbi or priest are professional comedians.
"We tried this years ago in our L.A. club with the late Sam Kinison; not many people remember, but Sam was an ordained minister," says Jamie Masada, CEO and owner of The Laugh Factory.
Jewish couples who marry at the New York location will have the opportunity to be wed by Rabbi Schwartzi, who will even
whisper a specially written dirty joke in the groom's ear at the ceremony's end.
Weddings also include a standup comic host. Any comedian who has graced The Laugh Factory stage, including Jamie Foxx, Dave Chappell, Jim Carrey, Chris Rock and Adam Sandler, is available to greet your guests with jokes as they arrive.
The price of the soup-to-nuts dinner for 250 guests is $150,000.
