Lindsay Lohan turns into nude Marilyn Monroe for New York Magazine
This photo provided by New York magazine features Lindsay Lohan posing as Marilyn Monroe on the cover of the magazine's Feb. 25, 2008 issue. Clad in not much more than diamonds and sheer fabric, Lohan is pictured inside assuming the same poses Monroe did in her infamous "last sitting" for photographer Bert Stern 46 years ago. (Bert Stern, Associated Press / February 18, 2008)
Lindsay Lohan has taken on a daring new role. The starlet posed nude,
mimicking Marilyn Monroe's 1962 final photo shoot with Bert Stern, for the spring fashion issue of New York magazine.
Shot by Stern, the photos show the young actress in little more
than lace and strategically placed white sheets.
But Lohan tells the mag the nudity didn't bother her, adding, "I'm comfortable with it."
Lohan called the sad fate that befell Monroe, "tragic. ... it's
also tragic what just recently happened to someone else."
Asked by the
mag if she's referring to Heath Ledger, Lohan said, "They are both
prime examples of what this industry can do to someone," and that she
"sure as hell wouldn't let it happen to me."
So far so good, we guess. The photos were a shock, for sure, but
nudity is better than DUIs, drug use and rehab.
