And ... Miley Cyrus' semi-topless photos are back in the news!

On the same day that Miley, 15, was named host of the Teen Choice Awards (which airs Aug. 4 on FOX), her dad, Billy Ray, went on the "Today" show to talk for the first time about the now infamous pics that appeared in Vanity Fair.

"I didn't know they (were) gonna strip her down and wrap her with a blanket ... so I was surprised when I saw it, you know, but ... stuff happens. That's life. Things happen and sometimes things get a little out of control and you just gotta deal with life," the "Nashville Star" host said Tuesday.
