The family of comatose music scion Bobbi Kristina Brown reportedly has given the order to disconnect her from life support on Wednesday, the third anniversary of her mother Whitney Houston's death.
TMZ.com, citing "a source connected with Houston's family," said the decision was made Sunday. While some media reports have speculated that her grandmother, gospel and soul-music legend Cissy Houston, had deemed the anniversary date appropriate, TMZ said it could not confirm this claim.
However, a Houston family source tells Us Weekly that she will not be taken off life support on Wednesday.
Bobbi Kristina Brown, 21, whose father is singer Bobby Brown, was found unresponsive in a bathtub at her town house in suburban Roswell, Ga., on Jan. 31. Doctors induced a medical coma that day, and her prognosis since has remained dire.
Pop star Whitney Houston died on Feb. 11, 2012, at age 48, and was also found unresponsive in a bathtub. The Los Angeles County coroner determined she died of accidental drowning due to the effects of cocaine and heart disease.
Additionally, reported TMZ, Roswell police have begun a criminal investigation of Bobbi Kristina's Brown boyfriend, Nick Gordon, after discovering injuries on her body.
