Former child star Amanda Bynes was arrested for alleged drunk driving early Sunday morning in California.

E! News said Monday that the California Highway Patrol had confirmed to it that Bynes, 28, was charged with a misdemeanor following a 3 a.m. arrest when police "determined she was under the influence of a controlled substance" while driving. She was released from a Van Nuys, California, police station at 12:44 p.m. Sunday on $15,000 bail.

Bynes is currently serving three years' probation after pleading no contest in February to reckless driving, stemming from a 2012 DUI arrest after having clipped a cruiser driven by a sheriff's deputy.

She has a court date scheduled for Oct. 23, E! said.
