‘Ghostbusters’ star Leslie Jones returns to Twitter after 3-day break amid racist attacks

“Ghostbusters” star Leslie Jones has returned to Twitter after a three-day break after enduring a barrage of racist comments, which ultimately led to intervention by the site’s co-founder and the banning of a right-wing technology editor for helping encourage the abuse.

Jones, 48, tweeted that she “thought she could stay away. But who else is gonna live tweet Game of Thrones!!”

A well-known fan of HBO’s fantasy-adventure series, Jones told fans in a second tweet, “Thanks for the love and support I received! made me feel real special.”

She was scheduled to appear early Friday morning on the NBC talk show “Late Night With Seth Meyers.”
