Janet Jackson expecting first child with Wissam Al Mana, report says

Following her cryptic announcement last month that she was postponing a concert tour because of “a sudden change” and that she and her husband “are planning our family,” singer Janet Jackson reportedly is pregnant.

“Entertainment Tonight” said Wednesday that Jackson, who turns 50 on May 16, is expecting her first child with husband Wissam Al Mana, a Qatari billionaire whose Al Mana Luxury Company represents A/X Armani Exchange and other luxury brands. Neither Jackson nor her representative had commented on the report.

Jackson, sister of the late superstar Michael Jackson, wed Al Mana in 2012 but kept the marriage, her third, unrevealed until the following year.

In a Twitter video posted April 6, Jackson announced there had been “a sudden change” to her current world tour that began in August. “I thought it was important that you be the first to know,” she said to her fans. “My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour. Please, if you could try and understand that it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor’s orders.”

She assured fans, “I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can.”
