Still keeping a low profile, and still not posting to social media since being robbed in Paris on Oct. 3, Kim Kardashian has nonetheless begun venturing out publicly and has resumed production on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
Following a brief trip to a Beverly Hills restaurant two weeks ago, the reality-TV star was photographed Monday at the Beverly Glen Deli — a shop frequented by stars including Gwen Stefani, Gene Simmons and Warren Beatty, according to Yelp reviews — with her friend, entrepreneur Jonathan Cheban, plus an apparent bodyguard. Cheban, who opened Burger Bandit in Lynbrook last year, and Kardashian were each having a soft-serve ice-cream or frozen-yogurt cones with sprinkles. TMZ.com noted that Kardashian, who celebrated a quiet birthday with family on Friday, was dressed down in an oversized hoodie, plain flat sandals and no makeup other than lip gloss.
The following night, said E! News, Kardashian was seen backstage at her rapper husband Kanye West’s concert at The Forum in Inglewood, California. E! said she was accompanied by Cheban as well as by her sister Kourtney Kardashian, half-sister Kendall Jenner, her mother Kris Jenner and her mother’s beau, Corey Gamble.
Significantly, Kardashian had a “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” video crew with her, reported People magazine, signaling that the show, which E! said had gone on a temporary production hiatus while Kardashian recovered, has resumed shooting.
A group of burglars had surprised Kardashian at the Hôtel de Pourtalès, a highly private, unmarked abode in Paris’ tony Madeleine district, where she was staying while attending Paris Fashion Week. According to police, they bound the reality star while robbing her of millions of dollars worth of jewelry.
Kardashian returned to the U.S. the same day and has kept a low profile, not posting to social media since the day before the burglary. She postponed a scheduled master class with her makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic Oct. 14 in Dubai, as well as an appearance at the Hakkasan Las Vegas Nightclub that had been scheduled for Friday.
