Ozzy, Sharon Osbourne split after more than 33 years of marriage, reports say

English heavy-metal rocker Ozzy Osbourne and his wife of nearly 34 years, music manager and “The Talk” co-host Sharon Osbourne, reportedly are separating.

A representative for the couple on Sunday told Rolling Stone magazine, “At this time, Ozzy is not in the marital home.” This followed a report by E! News earlier that day saying the couple had mutually agreed that Ozzy, 67, would move out temporarily. He and Sharon Osbourne, 63, who have separated and reconciled previously, have three children: TV personalities Jack, 30, and Kelly, 31, and aspiring singer Aimee, born in 1983.

Neither Ozzy nor Sharon Osbourne has commented on social media.

Similar rumors of a serious breakup had dogged the couple in 2013. That April, Jack Osbourne denied tabloid claims his parents were planning to divorce, tweeting, “Last time I check a lot of British news papers weren’t amazing sources of accurate information. Moving on. . . . ”

Later that month, Sharon Osbourne conceded on “The Talk” that Ozzy, who had long maintained sobriety, had been abusing drugs and alcohol for a year-and-a-half prior. “Everything that was printed in the tabloids has been distorted,” she said on air. “There’s always a little seed of truth to everything that gets reported, but then it gets very distorted. The only thing that’s true was the Facebook posting that my husband did,” referring to 64-year-old Ozzy Osbourne’s April 15, 2013, statement in which he apologized to family, friends and fans “for my insane behavior during this period.”

“Everybody knows he’s been struggling with this his entire life,” Sharon Osbourne said, adding, “I never knew that he was using prescription drugs. I knew he was drinking occasionally but I didn’t realize, you know, to the extent.”

Ozzy Osbourne and his 1970s band Black Sabbath released such classic albums as “Paranoid” and “Master of Reality.” After he was fired at the end of the decade, his then-girlfriend Sharon Osbourne began managing him, and his own band, Blizzard of Ozz, released several hits in the 1980s. The following decade, he organized the concert tour Ozzfest. The early 2010s saw Black Sabbath successfully reunited.

Sharon Osbourne received two Emmy Award nominations as a producer of her and Ozzy’s 2002-2005 MTV reality show “The Osbournes,” winning for Outstanding Reality Program the first year. She has been a co-host of the CBS daytime show “The Talk” since it began in 2010; it recently won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Talk Show/Entertainment.
