Justin Bieber's most infamous moments
Justin Bieber may not win over any more Beliebers with his latest act.
Video clips from a recent deposition the star gave surfaced on TMZ on Monday, showing the 20-year-old star acting smug, impatient and irritated.
During the four and a half hour deposition, Bieber appeared to forget whether or not whether he had been to Australia (he has), faked falling asleep, answered questions with winks, and threw a small finger-waving fit at the lawyer’s mention of ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez. “I don’t have to listen to anything you say,” Bieber said at one point to someone asking him questions off-screen.
The deposition was taken on Thursday as part of a lawsuit alleging that Bieber tasked his security with beating up paparazzi.
In honor of Bieb’s latest showstopper, we’ve rounded up a collection of his most infamous moments so far.
1. THE DEPOSITION
As mentioned, the deposition video is chock-full of Bieber gems, but this one might be the most Bieber of them all: When asked if he’s heard of Usher Raymond - the same Usher that launched his career - Bieber responded: “I was found on YouTube and I think I was detrimental to my own career.” Verbal slip-up or uncharacteristic moment of wisdom? You be the judge. (Credit: Splash News)
2. THE HOTBOX
Taking the phrase “flying high” to a whole new level, Bieber and his crew smoked so much marijuana aboard a private jet in January that the pilot had to wear an oxygen mask, according to a complaint filed by the cew and reported by NBC News. The complaint also stated that Bieber and his father harassed a flight attendant until she was forced to hide out in the cockpit, NBC said. (Credit: iStock)
3. THE ENTOURAGE
Being Justin Bieber is hard, guys. So hard, in fact, that he had 20 people to help him do it when he hosted Saturday Night Live in February 2013. In an interview with Howard Stern last spring, SNL cast member Bill Hader blasted Bieber for the size of his entourage. “He had a guy holding a slice of pizza. A guy holding a Diet Coke,” Hader said. “You’re going on stage and you’re trying to fight through all those people to get dressed.” (Credit: NBC)
4. THE DEMANDS
The only thing more difficult than being Justin Bieber may be running a Justin Bieber photo shoot. Among the highlights on his list of demands, leaked by TMZ last June: Haribo gummies and Swedish fish; three boomboxes with iPhone 5 batteries; three packs of lo-rise socks (one extra-small, two large); “No Selena music on set” (referring to his breakup from Selena Gomez); and the classic “Do not speak to talent.” (Credit: iStock)
5. THE EGGING
To paraphrase an old saying, you can’t be Justin Bieber without breaking a few eggs: He was accused of causing $20,000 worth of damages by pelting a neighbor’s home with eggs in January. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office is still deciding whether to charge Bieber with a misdemeanor or a felony, according to TMZ, and authorities are reviewing footage seized from his security camera system. 6. THE OUTFIT
What do you wear to meet the head of your country’s government? If you’re native Canadian Justin Bieber, overalls and a backwards baseball cap ought to do the trick. Let’s just hope Prime Minister Stephen Harper is a Belieber. (Credit: Instagram/justinbieber)
7. THE MOP BUCKET
When you’re Justin Bieber, the world is your urinal - and Bill Clinton is your nemesis, apparently. A video from last July shows Bieber urinating into a mop bucket in a New York City restaurant before picking up a bottle of cleaning liquid and spraying it at a photo of the former president, yelling “F*** Bill Clinton.” The star later called to apologize, tweeting that Clinton was a “#greatguy.” (Credit: Twitter/JustinBieber)
8. THE GREAT WALL
Being adored is exhausting. Good thing Justin Bieber has bodyguards to carry him up the Great Wall of China. (Credit: Getty Images)
9. THE ANNE FRANK HOUSE
This one speaks for itself. After visiting the Anne Frank house in Amsterdam last spring, Bieber wrote in the guestbook: “Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber.” (Credit: Facebook/Anne Frank House)
10. THE ARREST
Let the mere mortals obey the speed limit -- Justin Bieber lives life in the fast lane. In January, the star was arrested in Miami Beach and accused of drag racing at 60 mph in a 30 mph zone. After eight hours in custody – and misdemeanor charges for driving under the influence, having an expired license and resisting arrest – he was released on $2,500 bail. But never fear, Beliebers: that mug shot is totally dreamy. (Credit: Miami-Dade Police Department)
