Romance report: Keeping up with on-again, off-again celebrity couples
Make up or break up? These famous lovebirds just can't decide.
Johnny Weir and Victor Voronov
Following a very bitter-- and very public-- breakup drama, the Olympic ice skater filed for divorce in March 2014. But by early May, the volatile love birds were back on. "My husband and I have happily reconciled. Please respect our privacy and integrity at this time," Weir tweeted. "Love is safe. Love is ugly. Love is beautiful. To love hard, is the greatest gift, even with all its flaws. Keep shining," he added.

Rihanna and Drake
RiRi is known for tumultuous relationships (we're looking at you, Chris Brown), and her hot and cold romance with Drake has been no exception. The couple was spotted in February spending quality time in the City of Love, including a swanky French dinner and a show, and reports in March said they were "officially exclusive." In April, Drake reportedly bought her a $42,000 ring-- no, not that kind of ring, but still. However in early May, the two are reportedly having issues after Drake chose not to attend the iHeartRadio Music Awards or the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala with his lady, followed by a series of angry Instagram posts on her account, saying things such as “I [expletive] with you because I saw something different.. Don’t start acting the same.” Uh-oh.

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber
Ah, young love. These two have had their ups-- awards shows, vacations, courtside PDA-- and their downs-- from false allegations in 2011 that Bieber fathered another woman's love child, to a very public break up near the end of 2012. Most of 2013 was filled with confusion for fans trying to keep track, but their romance seemed to truly fizzle as Bieber went on a downward spiral and made headlines for hard partying and getting arrested, while Gomez went to rehab to deal with emotional issues. After all that, however, the two were spotted rekindling in Texas, and then recorded a video dirty dancing to John Legend love song "Ordinary People." To add fuel to reports that they were on again, they got cozy together in April at the Coachella Music Festival. But by early May, Bieber was spotted getting cozy with an 18-year-old model in Venice Beach. Is he finally over Selena? Who knows. But it looks like he's trying. Status: Off (Credit: Getty Images)
Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas
The couple of 13 years, who have two children together, announced their separation in August. But after looking "really happy" at a dinner at NYY Steak, they made their first post-split public appearance together on the red carpet on opening night of the play "The Library" at the Public Theater on April 15, and then walked the Chaplin Award Gala red carpet hand-in-hand two weeks later.

Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy
Rumors spread after the pair, who got engaged in April 2011, still hadn't started wedding planning by 2014. But the parents to Bingham are trying hard to make it work, going to counseling and slowly spending more time together, according to reports. And although Hudson admitted in May they still hadn't made firm plans to tie the knot, she was quoted saying they still plan to do so... "probably sooner rather than later."

Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling
This sizzling couple has been dating for more than two years, but their romance was overshadowed by rumors of a split when they weren't photographed together for about three months. Then, Gosling was spotted smiling at Mendes' gate shortly after Valentine's Day (which she facetiously told Ellen DeGeneres she would be spending eating pizza and watching "The Notebook"), and the rumor mills stopped turning. Engagement rumors started in March, followed by more breakup rumors in April and May, claiming that Mendes thinks her relationship is hurting her career. None of these rumors have been confirmed, and the two seem to be lying low for now. Can you blame them?

Kris and Bruce Jenner
Khloe and Lamar: Off. Kim and Kanye: On. Kris and Bruce: Not so sure. Yes, the pair announced a separation in 2013, but no moves towards an actual divorce have been reported. "We're best friends. I mean, we talk all the time. Right now we're happier the way that we are right now," Kris told Carson Daily. It all seems very non-committal, and when Kris had a health scare in April, Bruce was reportedly by her side. Then, they were spotted holding hands at LAX, and Kris posted an old photo of the two on their 23rd anniversary with the caption, "Happy Anniversary to one of the most amazing men I know!!!! I love you, Wow 23 years!!!!!" Uhh... what separation?

Katy Perry and John Mayer
This couple seemed like an odd match at first, she so bubbly and he so dark and brooding, but when the two hit it off, fans were excited by the hope that notorious ladies' man Mayer may have finally been tamed. Then they broke up. But then they got back together! Then they broke up again. February brought engagement rumors, followed abruptly by the report of yet another split. And after she was reportedly spotted flirting with DJ Diplo at the 2014 Coachella Music Festival in April, rumor has it Perry is moving on.
