We caught up with Jane Lynch, 54, yesterday, where she talked about her love for rescue animals at an ASPCA and Febreze joint new product unveiling.
This season on "Glee" is one of my favorites. Tell me a little bit about it.
I think it reminds people of why they fell in love with the show in the first place.
You just wrapped up the last day of filming the show. What was that like?
It was sad. It affected me much more than I expected it to. We did a big musical number with everybody who came back who was in the show; everyone was invited back. We all sang a song in the auditorium.
Were there any tears?
Waterworks. And then my final day was the day after and it was just lovely.
What's been your favorite "Glee" episode?
Honestly, I love every episode of this season. That's fresh in my mind.
I know there's an upcoming episode entitled "The Rise and Fall of Sue Sylvester," centered around your character, obviously. Can you give me a little preview of what viewers can expect?
Oh yes! She gets leveled. A lot of things are revealed. The powers that be find out about what she did in the two-part "Hurt Locker" episode, and she gets ? Well, you'll have to see what happens!
What's next for you?
I'm doing a cabaret show. I'd love it if folks came out. You and the entire "Glee" cast are pretty close.
Who have you particularly bonded with over the past six years on set?
Is it hard to fake hate each other on set?
No, it's delicious. I love him more because my character hates him. [Laughs]
As I'm sure you know, Lady Gaga announced today she'll be starring in the next season of "American Horror Story."
I heard! I think it's fantastic! Yes!
Do you watch the show?
I do and I don't, because it scares the eff out of me!
Ryan Murphy is a genius.
He is a genius! He can do something like "American Horror Story" and then on this end, "Glee."
I know! I'm crying and laughing on one end, and on the other I'm scared and shaking!
That's the mind of Ryan Murphy.
