Jason Aldean, Toby Keith and Tim McGraw are set to headline FarmBorough, as New York’s first country music festival returns for its second year.
The two-stage festival at Randall’s Island on June 17-19 will also include hitmaker Thomas Rhett, Grammy-nominated Kacey Musgraves and reunited veterans Brooks & Dunn.
“We made history last year,” said Jordan Wolowitz, co-founder of Founders Entertainment, the event’s co-producer. “The amazing lineup for FarmBorough 2016 speaks for itself, and we can’t wait to show everyone what’s in store for June. It’s gonna be awesome.”
Festival passes are $225 and go on sale Jan. 29 at FarmboroughFestival.com.
Brian O’Connell, president of Live Nation’s Country Touring division, the festival’s other co-producer, says the companies have been working on this year’s festival since the gates closed on last year’s show. “Having the heavyweight power of such huge and distinct names as well artists that I think will be the genre’s next big superstars on the bill helps ease the pressure a little bit of putting on a festival in the greatest city in the world,” O’Connell said. “I can’t wait to get back out there and continue to make our mark on the Big Apple.”
