Sorry, guys: John Oliver won't be taking over "The Daily Show."
HBO has renewed "Last Week Tonight" for third and fourth seasons, so Oliver, 37, will be busy with that for the foreseeable future.
Try very busy, actually -- each season will last one year and consist of 35 episodes, meaning that by the end of 2017, we'll see more than 100 new episodes.
Yeah, we're obviously excited for this, but we're also pretty bummed that he won't be replacing Jon Stewart, because he did an awesome job filling in over summer 2013.
Oliver has promised "some long-term mayhem production things," in addition to upping investigative reporting.
