Kelly Osbourne is giving "Fashion Police" the boot, according to a statement released by E! Entertainment Friday evening.
"Kelly Osbourne is departing E!s 'Fashion Police' to pursue other opportunities, and we would like to thank her for her many contributions to the series over the past five years, during which time the show became a hit with viewers," E! reps wrote. "'Fashion Police' will return, as scheduled, on Friday, March 30th at 9:00 p.m. and no decisions have been made on her replacement."
The statement did not mention the motivating force in Osbourne's departure, but the always outspoken TV personality threatened to leave the show Tuesday after co-host Giuliana Rancic's controversial comments that dreadlock-donning actress Zendaya looked like she smelled like patchouli oil or weed at the 2015 Oscars.
The actress, whose hair is ever-changing, responded with an Instagram rant, calling Rancic's quip an "outrageously offensive" stereotype, and Osbourne made it clear she is #TeamZendaya.
"I DID NOT MAKE THE WEED COMENT. I DO NOT CONDONE RACISM SO AS A RSULT OF THIS IM SEREIOULSY QUESTIONONIG STAYING ON THE SHOW!" Osbourne tweeted.
Rancic did apologize, on Twitter and on air. Osbourne has not commented on her decision to leave the show.
