August 10 Twilight Tours, Lullwater & Boathouse, 7pm, $25. Enjoy a guided tour of the Park as well as a ride on the boat Independence. Reservations recommended.

August 12 The Sugar Water Festival, Prospect Park Bandshell, 7pm; $70 reserved, $45 lawn. The reigning queens of neo-soul do their thing. Featuring Queen Latifah, Jill Scott and Erykah Badu.

August 27 Battle of Brooklyn, Lefferts Historic House, 2-4pm. This children's workshop explores, in depth, Brooklyn's role in the Revolutionary War.

September 2 Everything You Ever Wanted to Know about Birds, Audubon Center, noon-2pm, $15. A workshop for adults who'd like to learn about birding, as well as old pros.

September 9 Brooklyn Caribbean Youth Fest, Nethermead, 10am-5pm. Find food, reggae and soca music, dance, art and more at this celebration of Caribbean culture. Enter park at 16th St at Prospect Park Southwest, 718-965-8999

September 16 International Coastal Clean-Up, Volunteers help clear the shoreline of Brooklyn's only freshwater lake, preserving a crucial wildlife habitat for hundreds of aquatic species. Call 718-965-8960 for exact time and location.

'Lyzer the Mizer' Grand Army Plaza; 1, 2, 3pm. This kid-friendly production, based on the Isaac Bashevis Singer story, teaches lessons about greed and sharing.

September 23 Hawk Weekend, Audubon Center , noon-5pm. Learn everything you ever wanted to know about these birds of prey.

Harvest Fair, 1 4 p.m., Lefferts Historic House, 1-4pm. Go on back to the old days and harvest and cook potatoes, churn butter, make apple cider, watch a spinster spinning flax into linen thread and make instruments from gourds.
