BROOKLYN


Dyker Beach Golf Course 86th Street at Seventh Avenue (718) 836-9722 A municipal course, this facility offers a good test of golf and also great views of the Verrazzano Narrows Bridge. Website.

Marine Park Golf Course 2880 Flatbush Ave., near Belt Parkway 718-252-4625 This par-72 facility is the longest public golf course in New York City. It has elevated big greens and views of the skyline. Website.

STATEN ISLAND


LaTourette Golf Course 1001 Richmond Hill Rd. (718) 351-1889 Set amid 455 acres of wooded park land, LaTourette has an 18 hole golf course, driving range, clubhouse with pro shop, restaurant, ski and sleigh hills and lockers. Free parking available. Website.

Silver Lake Park & Golf Course 915 Victory Blvd. (718) 447-5686 There are 107 acres of park area, an 18-hole public golf course, tennis courts, clubhouses, pro shop, lockers, showers, lounge and restaurant here.

QUEENS


Clearview Golf Course 202-12 Willets Point Blvd. (718) 229-2570 Known for its spectacular views, this golf course features rolling fairways and deep bunkers. Expect waits before teeing off.

Douglaston Golf Course 6320 Marathon Parkway (718) 224-6566 Also known for its great views, this short and hilly 18-hole course has seven par 3 holes. It also has a full-service pro shop and offers lessons and club rental.

Forest Park Golf Course Forest Park Dr. near Interboro Pkwy. (718) 296-0999 This course, created in 1896, is par 70, 6053 yards from the back tees and par 70, 5,048 on the front. It is known for its great view of the city's skyline.

Kissena Golf Course Booth Memorial Ave. & 164th St. (718) 939-4594 This short course is par 64 with 4,727 yards. The par 3, No. 9 hole is rumored to be the most difficult in New York.

THE BRONX


Pelham Split Rock American Golf Club 870 Shore Rd. (718) 885-1258 This 18-hole course is open to the public year round. The par-70 course is 6,585 yards long.

Van Cortland Park Golf Course Van Cortland Park South and Bailey Ave. (718) 543-4595 The golf course at Van Cortlandt park is the oldest public course in the country. The 18-hole course is 6,122 yards long.
