A 29-year-old member of singer Nicki Minaj's entourage was stabbed to death, and another seriously injured, during a bar fight in Philadelphia Wendesday, where the crew had been for two days rehearsing for a tour, the singer tweeted.

The man, identified by Rihanna and the rapper Fabolous as De'Von "Day Day" Pickett, was stabbed multiple times in the torso at 2:35 a.m. outside the Che Bar and Grill, Philadelphia police said. The second man, identified by Fabolous as Eric Parker, was in critical condition after being stabbed in the left arm and left side, police said.

They were rushed to an area hospital in a private car, police said, but Pickett was pronounced dead about 10 minutes later.

Pickett was a road and tour manager, according to his Twitter account. Just hours before he was killed, Pickett tweeted "LIFE #GODISTHEGREATEST," "Namaste," and "Be Great."

Wendesay, Rihanna posted two photos of Pickett on Instagram, voicing her condolences.

"Can't believe this is true! one of the nicest, coolest, funniest people I've ever met and toured with! We had so much fun together!!!" she wrote. "Sad to lose a beautiful spirit like yours #RIPDayDay."

Fabolous also posted a photo on Instagram of Pickett and Parker together. He asked people to pray for Parker, who he said is now fighting for his life.

"I am still in shock & don't want to believe this," he wrote. "And it hurts even more knowing how good these two dudes are. How hard these guys work. And how loyal they are to whoever they are down with & each other.

"I will miss your energy, your vibe, & you but I'll hold on to your spirit! ? #RIPDayDay," he added.

Police are looking for a male suspect described as being about 30 years old, 160 pounds, and 5-foot-8. He was last seen in a dark gold Buick LeSabre.
