THE MUMMY: TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR. Hot on the heels of "Journey to the Center of the Earth," Brendan Fraser swings for his second summer hit. Opens Friday.
SWING VOTE. A voting irregularity leaves the outcome of the presidential election up to one beer-guzzling average Joe. It's a comedy, not a documentary, starring Kevin Costner, Kelsey Grammer and Dennis Hopper. Opens Friday.
SIXTY SIX. A nice young Jewish boy - albeit in England - has his bar mitzvah on the same day as the World Cup. And you know how the Brits love their football. Opens Friday.

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN. The Boss is finally getting to the stadium part of his "Magic" tour, taking over Giants Stadium Sunday, Monday and Thursday nights. For those who are looking to warm up for the show, he released a live EP earlier this month, including the version of "4th of July, Asbury Park" that was the late Danny
Federici's final performance. Proceeds of the EP are going to the Danny Federici Melanoma Fund.
SHERYL CROW. Her recent struggles helped create the great "Detours" album, which Crow plans to showcase Monday at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster, 631-888-9000. See story on page C8.
POISON. Currently beefing with Def Leppard and prepping for the next season of "Rock of Love," Bret Michaels and the gang stop by Nikon at Jones Beach Theater Tuesday, along with Dokken and Sebastian Bach.
COUNTING CROWS AND MAROON 5. This may seem like an odd touring pair, but Counting Crows and Maroon 5 have turned out to be one of the season's strongest packages. They'll be stopping at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater Thursday and Friday nights. Tickets through Ticketmaster.

TELEVISION
MAD MEN. The Emmy-nominated drama about the advertising biz in the early 1960s returns for a much-anticipated second season. The action has moved forward from 1960 to Valentine's Day, 1962. Sunday at 10 p.m. on AMC. See story on page C14.
SHARK WEEK. Discovery Channel's 21st annual programming event runs from Sunday through Friday, with specials and shark-themed episodes, including six new programs. On Saturday, a marathon of all things shark-related airs.

FELA! Paul McCartney has called Fela Anikulapo Kuti and his musicians "the best band I've ever seen." Uh, who? Previews begin Tuesday for a musical celebrating the political life and Afrobeat sounds of this African composer and performer. Bill T. Jones, the modern-dance giant who won a Tony Award for his choreography of "Spring Awakening," makes his directing debut. MOSTLY MOZART. Summer's major indoor music series begins its 42nd year Tuesday and runs through Aug. 23 with more than 60 chamber concerts, recitals, operas in concert, lectures and video-art installations. The Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra kicks things off at Avery Fisher Hall with Mozart and Mahler, composers representing this year's theme of loss and transformation. $35-$85; other ticket prices vary.
