EAGLES AND PREY

The Eagles and Prey statue is located in mid-park at 69th Street. Artist Christopher Fratin shows the moment that a goat, wedged between two rocks, is about to be devoured by two birds of prey. Their talons are sunk into the back of the half-dead goat as the eagles victoriously flap their wings. (NYNewsday.com / July 1, 2003)
