LEHMAN GATES

Lehman Gates is located at the entrance to the Tisch Children's Zoo at E. 64th Street. The sculptor, Paul Manship, designed this bronze gate on a granite pedestal that was placed in the park in 1961. It was donated by Gov. and Mrs. Herbert H. Lehman. A sculpture of a boy with two dancing goats is the highlight of the gate. (NYNewsday.com / July 1, 2003)
