MOTHER GOOSE

The Mother Goose statue is located in the eastern part of the park near 71st Street. In this scupture by Frederick George Richard Roth, children can see Mother Goose flying her large goose as her cape is blown upward by the wind. Also depicted in the sculpture are other favorites including Humpty Dumpty taking a fall, Little Jack Horner eating Christmas pie, Little Bo Peep seeking her sheep. (NYNewsday.com / July 1, 2003)
