Actor Patrick Dempsey is selling the Malibu home he had shared with his wife, Jill. The couple announced in January that they were divorcing after 15 years of marriage.
Dempsey, 49, who recently exited his long-running role as Dr. Derek Shepherd on the ABC medical drama "Grey's Anatomy," has listed the two-story, Frank Gehry mansion for $14.5 million, reports the Los Angeles Times.
The 5,547-square-foot house has three bedrooms, 31/2 baths, wood decking around a swimming pool, a spa and a brick-floored alfresco kitchen. It sits on a 3.2-acre mountainside property that includes a rock-climbing wall, animal coops and hutches and a four-stall barn, the Los Angeles Times reported.
During their time there, the actor's family also created an outdoor oasis for their many pets, including chickens, miniature donkeys, rabbits, goats, pigs, and their three dogs.
The couple bought the property for $7 million in 2009, according to public records.
"We were looking for a little land and space, and a house with some architectural significance," Dempsey told Architectural Digest last year. "The exterior's simplicity appealed to me, and the inside felt very expansive and calming. Everywhere you looked there was something visually pleasing."
Jill Dempsey, a makeup artist and designer, filed for divorce in January, citing irreconcilable differences and asking for spousal support and child support. The couple has three children, daughter Talula Fyfe, 13, and twin sons Darby Galen and Sullivan Patrick, 8.
