Puff Daddy & The Family will reunite for “One Night Only,” what Diddy is calling a Bad Boy family reunion at Barclays Center on May 20, the night before what would have been Notorious B.I.G.’s 44th birthday.
“This isn’t just another concert — this is hip-hop history,” said Diddy. “The Bad Boy Family includes some of the biggest names in music and songs that helped define a whole generation of music. Also, we are celebrating one of the greatest of all time — Notorious B.I.G. This will be a night to remember. I can’t wait to see you all there.”
Jay Z, who appeared on Puff Daddy & The Family’s 1997 debut, “No Way Out,” will be a special guest, along with Mary J. Blige and French Montana. Others who appeared on the album, including Faith Evans, Lil’ Kim, Mase and 112 will also perform.
The “One Night Only” show marks the launch of what Diddy has been saying may be among his final shows before retiring from music. He says that his upcoming “No Way Out 2” album will be his final one as a musician, as he plans to focus on other parts of his career as a businessman and actor.
Tickets are $49.50-$675 and go on sale Saturday at 11 a.m. through Ticketmaster.com.
