NYC dogs, cats and rabbits for adoption
A warning before you scroll down: You will NOT be able to resist these adorable faces.
Whether you have an active family or you're living the mellow single life, there's a New York City pup or kitty (or even a rabbit) with a similar personality looking for a new home.
All animals are either adoptable through Animal Care and Control of NYC or the Humane Society of New York.
Note that some animals listed her may have found homes by the time you seek them out. But don't worry! There are plenty of adorable pets looking for special human companions.
All adoptions through ACC include vaccinations, spay/neuter, a pre-registered microchipo, an ID tag, collar and certificate for a free exam at a veterinarian. All animals at HSNY receive vaccinations, are spayed/neutered and microchipped.

Konan should be a supermodel cat! He poses for you in his cage, holding his regal white chest high even when in signature "cat loaf" position, and keeps his coat meticulously groomed. When you reach out to pet him, he'll do the rest by butting his head into your open hand and purring the whole time. You'll have a hard time pulling yourself away from this kitty work of art, so why not give him a forever home? Meet Konan, who used to live and got along with another cat, at AC&C’s Staten Island Care Center, at 3139 Veterans Road West.
