9-year-old girl killed in Canarsie car crash
A 9-year-old girl was killed in Brooklyn yesterday when a minivan rammed into the car she was riding in, police said.
The 2002 Honda Odyssey minivan, which was traveling south on Remsen Avenue near Avenue N, allegedly hit the Hyundai that the girl was in just before 5 p.m. as well as a Toyota Sienna.
The Hyundai and Sienna were traveling west on Avenue N.
The driver of the green minivan was taken into custody, police said.
The little girl was taken to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. The two other occupants of the Hyundai and three occupants of the Toyota were taken to Brookdale in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
