Since the death of Cecil the Lion, animal enthusiasts and celebrities alike have been tweeting their tributes for the beloved animal from Zimbabwe’s Hwange National Park.
Earlier this month the game-hunting dentist, Dr. Walter J. Palmer, shot and killed 13-year-old Cecil during a $50,000 guided excursion in Zimbabwe.
The lion’s death has outraged animal activists, and of course, celebrities are weighing in. Late night host Jimmy Kimmel broke down in tears and blasted the dentist on his show saying,”Is it that difficult for you to get an erection that you need to kill things?”
Kimmel and other celebrities are encouraging people to donate to the Wildlife Research Conservation Unit to help end animal cruelty.
