Authorities say a crane accident at a construction site in Midtown Manhattan left one person dead.
The Fire Department of New York said the crane appeared to have malfunctioned, but there were no further details immediately available and it was unclear how the person was killed.
Friday’s accident happened on East 44th Street and Second Avenue where a hotel is under construction.
