A dog found left for dead in a suitcase in the south Bronx is making a slow but steady recovery, the ASPCA said.

Police came across the approximately 3-year-old male pit bull mix, now named Fraggle, last month behind a housing complex suffering from severe malnutrition and other health issues.

Just over a month later, the ASPCA said, the animal, which has been in treatment at the ASPCA Animal Hospital, can now eat on his own and has begun walking short distances without help.

The ASPCA is offering $20,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case, and the NYPD is offering $2,000.
