Repairs to slow L train commute
Midday commutes on the L train in northeastern Brooklyn will be snagged by track work several times this month, beginning Thursday.
Between Broadway Junction and Rockaway Parkway, trains will run every 24 minutes instead of every 6 minutes. The changes will be in place Thursday and Friday , and again Jan. 16 through 18 from 10 a.m. until 3:15 p.m.
The rest of the line, which runs from Eighth Avenue in Manhattan to Canarsie in Brooklyn, will not be affected.
Work crews will be repairing switches that allow trains to change tracks.
