Pace student found dead in Manhattan
Police say a Pace University student has been found dead in his New York City apartment, apparently strangled with an electrical cord.
Nineteen-year-old Kevin Pravia was found lying in his bed after police were called to the scene by Pravia's roommate, who discovered the body Sunday night.
Pravia was from Pittsfield, Mass. but was living in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. He was a sophomore honors student at Pace University.
School officials say they are saddened by the news and offered sympathy to Pravia's family and friends.
The medical examiner will determine a cause of death.
