City Within A City
The 16-acre World Trade Center complex consisted of seven buildings including the Twin Towers, which were 110 stories tall.
The WTC
Approximately 50,000 people worked in the Towers, with an additional 40,000 visitors passing through the World Trade Center daily.

The New Skyscrapers
Five new skyscrapers including the Freedom Tower, which will rise 1,776 feet, will surround the Memorial. Each distinctive building is designed by a world-renowned architect.
The PATH Train
A PATH commuter train runs daily through the WTC site during construction and a new transportation hub will be a major component of the rebuilt WTC site.
The Site
The Memorial & Museum is under construction on 8 of the 16 acre WTC site. The Memorial will include two pools set in the footprints of the Twin Towers.

The Museum
The Museum will display artifacts presenting the intimate stories of loss, compassion, reckoning and recovery that are central to our collective history.
The Memorial
The names of the victims will be inscribed around two massive pools with 30-foot waterfalls filling the voids where the Twin Towers once stood.
The Site
An eight-acre landscaped Memorial Plaza filled with nearly 400 trees will create a contemplative space separate from the sights and sounds of the surrounding city.
