Commack

A male employee at a department store on Henry Street was arrested and charged with petty larceny Thursday.

A resident on Sycamore Lane said his property was damaged by vandals Thursday.

Melville

A car was broken into today on Avalon Court and items were stolen.

Northport

Money, an iPod and a cell phone were stolen Thursday from a gym locker on Laurel Hill Road.

South Huntington

A burglary was discovered Thursday at a house on Capitol Place.
