List of accidents that injured pedestrians

Accidents in the past week that injured pedestrians:

-Saturday in Flatbush: A car jumped a curb and hit two toddlers playing on the sidewalk. The more seriously-wounded of the two children was left in critical condition. Two teenagers were also injured. The driver fled and was later arrested.

-Friday in the Garment District: An unlicensed driver parking an SUV accidentally hit the gas and jumped a curb, injuring 10 people. Six people were hospitalized in stable condition, and the driver was charged for not having a license.

-Friday in the Lower East Side: A 60-year-old man mistook the gas pedal for the brakes while trying to park his SUV on the Lower East Side and hit a bench where seven people were sitting. Two people were seriously injured and five others received minor injuries. The driver wasn't charged.

-Friday in Harlem: A livery cab driver hit the gas instead of the brakes and jumped a curb, leaving a 55-year-old woman in critical condition. The driver was not charged.

-Wednesday in Midwood: A speeding vehicle hit and critically injured a pedestrian crossing a street. The teenage driver kept going but later arrested.
