Man beaten, stabbed by group of men in Brooklyn, cops say

The NYPD is searching for a group of men who brutally assaulted a man in Brooklyn over the weekend.

Police said a group of eight to 10 men attacked the 26-year-old victim outside of a restaurant on Myrtle Avenue near Linden Street around midnight on Saturday.

Police said the victim was punched, kicked, stabbed with a sharp object and hit with bar stools during the assault. He suffered lacerations to his torso, shoulder and arm, police said.

The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center in critical but stable condition, police said.

The group of men, described by police as being in their early to mid-20s, fled eastbound on Myrtle Avenue.
