Man slashed on 6 train during attempted robbery, NYPD says

Police are on the hunt for three men who they said slashed a man on the 6 train in the Bronx on Wednesday.

It was just after midnight when the 29-year-old victim was approached by three men who tried to rob him at the Hunts Point Avenue-Bruckner Boulevard stop, police said.

The victim fought back and was slashed in the face with an unknown object, police said.

The suspects then fled on foot at the Longwood Avenue station, according to police.

The victim was taken to Lincoln Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
