The city went a whole week without a homicide, according to the NYPD.

The last reported homicide, as of Monday evening, was on Feb. 1, the NYPD said in a statement.

The latest NYPD figures show that 2015 has had a small uptick in homicides, with 39 reported incidents as of Feb 1. There were 33 reported homicides during the same time period last year, according to the NYPD.

The last time the city went more than a week without a homicide was February 2014 when there were 10 days without a reported incident, according to police statistics.
