New Yorkers feeling extra lucky, take note: The jackpot for Wednesday's Powerball drawing is a cool $485 million.

It’s the third-largest jackpot in history, according to New York Lottery officials, with the cash value estimated to be $327.7 million.

Powerball sales reached nearly $5 billion last year for game tickets that are sold through more than 210,000 lottery terminals. Each ticket costs $2. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are one in 175 million.

The Lottery’s contribution represents 15 percent of total state education to local school districts.
